Belt Harris Pechacek, LLLP is pleased to announce that, as part of our ongoing effort to improve audit services to governments across Texas, Mike Brotherton, CPA, was promoted to Partner in April 2016.  Robert Belt, Managing Partner, stated, “Mike is uniquely gifted at helping our clients navigate a sea of complex rules and regulations and condensing the information to an easy to understand manner.  As a full equity owner of the firm, his contributions and his leadership will ensure our firm stays on the path of our motto of “Government Audits Sealed with Excellence.”  Mike graduated cum laude from Hope College, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He has been with our firm since August 2011 and has performed more than 47 city audits, 30 educational entity audits, and 23 other special government audits. Many of these received the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting. He also serves on the Special Review Committee for the GFOA and has over 7 years of government audit experience.
